What a summer it has been. I am working on my responses to your emails, but importantly, as some of my extracurricular stressors alleviate, I’ve actually been able to get some sleep and find the capacity necessary to assess my situation and reevaluate various responsibilities.

All that to say, I actually think I’m in alright shape at the moment. CRDMSA responsibilities have been largely delegated, and the Preparing the Professoriate program doesn’t seem too demanding. Following John’s suggestion from some months ago, I am focusing all of my writing energies on Chapter 1. Of course, to draft Chapter 1, I have to work through the critical making process, which requires various devices and supplies to actually enact the critical making project itself. So that’s where I’m at as we enter the Fall semester.

I received a defective PiShock and am currently coordinating with the company to get a replacement, but that has delayed the constructive aspects of my work for the last few weeks. (See the post following this one for the preparatory work I’ve done developing the PiShock project’s physical and digital interfaces).

My hope is to seek publication for these chapters as a way to continue building my CV for the ever-approaching job search. Thank you all once again for your support and investment in this project. I’m thrilled to finally dig in the way I should.
